Arabian Reining Horse Association to Award Prize Monies at 18 Regional Shows(Rogers, MN) The Arabian Reining Horse Association (ARHA) will award $500 additional monies and neck ribbons to the Top Five competitors in the Arabian Reining AAOTR and the Half-Arabian Reining AAOTR classes at the 18 regionals in 2005. The prize monies will be broken down as follows: Champion will receive $250 and a neck ribbon, Reserve Champion will receive $100 and a neck ribbon, and the other Top Five competitors will each receive $50 and a neck ribbon. This awards program was started in 2003. An ARHA member has been appointed in each regional to help facilitate the program. The ARHA prize monies and ribbons are only available to members of ARHA. The Arabian Reining Horse Association is a nationally recognized organization that is affiliated with both the Arabian Horse Association and the National Reining Horse Association. Board members are Eleanor Hamilton, April Sampson, Audrey Zinke, Phyllis LaMalfa, Russ Brown and Debbie Compilli and past President Mary Jane Brown. Eleanor Hamilton, owner of Eleanor's Arabian Farm, is the current president of the Arabian Reining Horse Association (ARHA). Eleanor's Arabian Farm breeds and trains Arabian and Half-Arabian horses in western pleasure and reining. The breeding program uniquely combines Arabian and Quarter horse bloodlines to produce nationally competitive working western horses.
