Open Barn
Reining enthusiasts from 11 states attended the
open barn/clinic at Eleanor’s Arabian Farm, November 12, 2005.
Dinner was served to 350 people.
Guests had the opportunity to tour the art gallery,
watch the new Hesa Zee+/ video, meet the farm stallions (marveling
at the jowls on the Quarter stud), “pig out” on the pig
roast and enjoy the camaraderie of the farm staff. And most of all
view the fruits of the farm – stall after stall of quality
youngsters.
All this was followed by Rod Matthiesen’s clinic – how to
select a reiner. The clinic ended with Pam Rose showing her 3 time National
Champion reiner Zee the Gem+/ by Hesa Zee+/.
Numerous guests returned Sunday morning to select
a reining prospect or to “visit” the one they already
had purchased. Others enjoyed reining lessons on the farm’s
finished reiners.
States represented at the open barn/clinic were
New York, South Carolina, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa,
North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado, California, plus Paris, France.
