Eleanor’s Arabian Farm Expands Half-Arab Breeding Program With Purchase of CG Colonel Jac

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 28, 2005

(Rogers, MN) Eleanor Hamilton, of Eleanor’s Arabian Farm, announces the selection of the Quarter horse reining stallion CG Colonel Jac (Triple Colonel x Jacs Little Flower) to enhance her Half-Arabian reining program. The 14-year-old stallion, a grandson of Colonel Freckles, brings the bloodline of Colonel Freckles and Hollywood Jac 86, both old lines that are predominant in the small band of Quarter horse broodmares that Hamilton has carefully collected. These bloodlines have been crossing very successfully with Crown Musc+ and Hesa Zee+/.

CG Colonel Jac, better known as Howie, is a palomino with over $10,000 LTE.

Howie has already been used in the farm’s Half-Arab program. Pictured below are two 2-year-old geldings from a Hesa Zee+/ daughter and a *Muscat daughter.

The disposition and confirmation of these geldings helped make the decision to purchase Howie. Hamilton added, “Rod was also very impressed with the longevity of this stallion as a reiner.” He was shown up to 12 to 13 years old and still could be, but he just “hangs out” now.

Purebred Arab mares bred to Howie for 2006 include Zee the Gem, twice Canadian National Champion reining AOTR, and Z Princes Miracle, 2-time US Reserve National Champion cutting, futurity and AOTR and also Canadian top ten reining open.
