Hesa’s 20th Birthday Party

Eleanor’s Arabian Farm celebrated the 20th birthday of Hesa Zee+/ on Saturday, November 8, 2008. More than 300 guests attended coming from as far away as Texas, Calgary, Toronto and Korea.

Following barn time and a pig roast, guests gathered in the arena for a short clinic and presentation.

Highlighting the afternoon festivities was the presentation of Hesa Zee+/ (Xenophonn x Somthing Special) bred by Tom Miller.

Four purebred national reining winners sired by Hesa were also presented.

• Zee The Gem, 3 time national reining champion AOTR, bred by Eleanor Hamilton
and owned by Pam Rose.

• Minding Ps and Qs, Canadian National Champion AAOTR, twice Reserve National Champion open and 2007 Scottsdale Futurity Champion, bred by Joyce Baccard, owned by Dick Ames.

• Sheza Fire Cracker, 2008 US Futurity Reserve National Champion, bred by Marla Koob,
owned by the McNamara family.

• Fyre In The Skye, 2008 Scottsdale Futurity Champion, bred by Joyce Baccard, owned by Dick Ames.

The clinic featured Drs. Kim and Kevin Voller on the care of the senior horse.

Gary Ferguson, Sulpher Springs, Texas, and Rod Matthiesen, farm trainer, using farm horses, discussed reining confirmation.
